On WEDNESDAY MAY 29th, 2019 a peaceful demonstration will be taking place at the junction of Highways 11 and 17.
Traffic on the NIPIGON RIVER BRIDGE will be slowed to one lane in each direction beginning at 12:00 pm and will continue to approximately 2:00 pm. Information sheets will be available and distributed to vehicles traveling through the area.
The Northern Superior Chiefs and Mayors are calling all concerned citizens of the region to join them in standing together as a united region on the Nipigon River Bridge on May 29th to demand that both Minister Phillips and Minister Yakabuski meet with the Representatives of Northern Ontario.
Please meet at the shuttle bus depot located on HWY 11 across from the Emcon lot at 11:45 AM
