Vacant Councillor Seat
At the June 17, 2024 Regular Council Meeting, Council declared one (1) Councillor seat vacant effective July 1, 2024, and at the same Meeting, Council has determined to fill this vacancy by appointment through a Call for Nominees.
Appointment Application Process
Any interested eligible individuals looking to apply must complete and submit the following documentation:

- Freedom of Information Release Form (below)
Apply in person
Applicants must provide the Clerk or designate with the above noted documentation in person, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday), at the Municipal Building, 42 Salls Street from Tuesday July 2, 2024 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Important dates:
- Application deadline – Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (by 4:00 p.m.)
- Official List of Candidates to be posted in the Council Meeting Agenda on Thursday, July 11, 2024 (by 4:30 p.m.)
- Filling of Vacant Councillor Seat to be voted on at the Regular Council Meeting – Monday July 15, 2024, at 7:00pm
