It is with the greatest sadness that we learn of the passing of Red Rock’s former Mayor, Gary Nelson.
“Today, we reflect on the life and legacy of former Mayor Gary Nelson, who served our community with distinction and dedication. His tenure as mayor had a period of challenges and positive change, guided by his unwavering commitment to the people he represented.
Beyond his achievements in office, Mayor Nelson was known for his deep compassion and genuine care for all residents, always taking the time to listen, understand, and act in the best interests of the community.
Mayor Nelson was more than a public servant; he was a beloved member of our community, a mentor to me, and a friend to all. A true gentleman.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the many contributions he made to our town.. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, and all who knew him during this time of sorrow.”
