All formal notices for residents are posted to this website but we encourage all residents to register for Voyent Alert! for prompt notices and information. We also encourage you to follow the Township of Red Rock’s Facebook Page for current information on events and notices.
As you get settled, please note that electricity in Red Rock is provided by Hydro One, and natural gas services are available through Enbridge Gas. For internet and television services, residents typically choose from Shaw, Bell, or satellite-based options like Starlink.

Welcome home!
The Township of Red Rock provides municipal water and sewer services to all properties within the townsite, extending service coverage up to the hydro generating station located on Highway 628.
Municipal Office

Hours of Operation:
- Monday – Friday: 8:30AM – 4:30PM (closed for lunch from 12:30-1:30pm)
- Saturday & Sunday: CLOSED
*The Municipal Office is Closed on Fridays for the months of June, July & August*
To apply for municipal water and sewer services, new residents must complete a Water/Sewer Service Application available at the Township Office or online Water/Sewer service application.
- Applications should be submitted at least 5 business days before moving in to ensure service setup.
- We require a Water Meter Reading to be recorded and submitted to the Municipal Office when you move into the house. Please send in a photo or a recording of the meter reading to billings@redrocktownship.com.
- For billing inquiries or water quality concerns, please contact the Municipal Office at (807) 886-2245.
Garbage Collection
Townsite residential garbage is collected once per week, typically on Wednesdays, and Rural & Commercial Garbage is collected on Thursdays.
- Please place your garbage curbside by 7:00 AM on pickup day.
- Residential garbage pickup is limited to 3 cans or 6 bags per household with a 50lb weight limit. All garbage must be properly bagged.
- Spring Clean Up is designated to one week in May each calendar year — keep an eye on the Township Event Calendar or contact the office for details.
The Township of Red Rock does not currently offer recycling services, although there are designated spots for pop cans, electronics, and textiles around town. Please contact the Municipal Office for more information.
Red Rock Landfill
The Red Rock Landfill is located off the right hand side of Highway 11/17, heading westbound towards Thunder Bay. The Landfill is located at Fire #496 on Dump Road.
Hours of Operation:
- Thursdays: 12PM – 4PM
- Saturdays: 9AM – 3PM
Please note that access to the landfill will not be granted within 15 minutes of closing. Ensure to follow all waste sorting regulations and bring appropriate identification if required.
