Lottery Licenses

What Is a Lottery License?

A Lottery License is required for any organization conducting a charitable lottery event, including raffles, bingo games, and 50/50 draws. Only eligible charitable, religious, or non-profit organizations can apply.

Why It Matters:

  • Transparency and Fairness: Licensing ensures that lottery activities are conducted fairly and in accordance with provincial regulations.
  • Community Benefit: Licensed lotteries support local fundraising efforts for education, recreation, health care, and other charitable causes.
  • Legal Compliance: The municipality administers lottery licensing under the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) guidelines, ensuring that proceeds are used appropriately.

Application Process:

  1. Determine your organization’s eligibility.
  2. Complete the Lottery License Application form.
  3. Submit required documentation (including financial statements and proof of eligibility).
  4. Pay the applicable licensing fee.

Animal Licenses (Dog and Cat Tags)

Why You Need an Animal License:

All dogs and cats within the Township of Red Rock must be licensed by their owners. Pet licenses help identify lost animals, ensure responsible ownership, and support animal services. The Township of Red Rock offers life-time licenses/tags for dogs and cats within the municipality for $20/pet.

Why It Matters:

  • Public Safety: Licensing supports animal control efforts and helps manage dangerous or stray animals.
  • Lost & Found: A tag with a license number helps reunite lost pets with their owners quickly.
  • Bylaw Compliance: Municipal bylaws require pet owners to license their animals within 6 months.

Application Process:

  1. Submit Animal Information for license.
  2. Pay the licensing fee (discounts apply for seniors).
